FAQs
WHAT IS CREOSITYSPACE?
CreositySpace is a K-5 NGSS curriculum that also engages students in early career exploration. Each unit is designed around “everyday” entrepreneurs and gives teachers the flexibility to integrate STEM into any subject. The personal stories and discoveries of today’s young entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds inspire students to develop their own ideas and inventions, as well as engage in early career exploration and possibilities in STEM professions. This approach makes STEM current, real and relatable to all students because students get to see successful STEM professionals who look like them, share similar interests or come from similar backgrounds.

WHY ARE STORIES SO IMPORTANT?
Stories matter—especially real-life stories. Functional MRI’s of the brain (fMRI) reveal that our brains show similar activity when we hear the same story. In one study, prior to hearing the same personal story, listeners’ brains showed rather different activity. Once the story started, however, their brain activity becomes synced, or “aligned.” Critically, it’s not until the listeners hear a real-life story that high-order areas like their frontal cortices begin to align.
